The maximum temperature that the probe can withstand is 1000°F (500°C), the stainless steel cable can withstand temperatures up to 718°F (380°C), 3.5mm (1/8 in) plug for use with all meats, great replacement probe and/or additional probe.

The tip of the probe can be run under the tap or cleaned with a damp cloth. The 3.5 mm black plug is not waterproof
